#118 –A Conversation with Lyndsie Jones

Episode Notes

As a stay-at-home mother, Lyndsie Jones never thought she would be a parent to twelve children. Born and raised in Provo, Utah, her parents divorced when she was four years old and lived with her mother and 3 older siblings. Her maternal grandparents took care of her most of her formative years and gave her a beautiful childhood amongst the challenges. Due to her mother’s mental illness, she moved into a relative’s home at the age of thirteen where she had consistent, healthy, loving parental figures through her teenage years. After high school she started college with a focus in psychology, however, plans changed when she met and married her first husband and shortly thereafter gave birth to their first son. Through the years the marriage was increasingly turbulent, and the number of children grew to six as the marriage ended in divorce. While single-parenting six children, she started an in-home daycare while attending college to complete her associates in behavioral science, and after her bachelor’s in elementary education. She met a wonderful man with five children. They married just before the covid pandemic, bringing the total number of children to 11. The next year brought another little baby, making a total an even dozen. Together, Eric and Lyndsie parent a house full of chaos and love as they navigate life.
