#32 –Brook Adams Visser - Do NOT Ignore The Signs of a Stroke!

Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Podcast Episode 32!

My friend Brook is incredible. She's kinda my idol in the sense that she has lived abroad (Uruguay, The Netherlands), and travels extensively.

She's also lived through having a stroke. The doctors said she may have to wait a couple years in order to see her ability to speak return to her.

So, like any sane person during a time like this, she and her amazing husband chose to move abroad whilst she recovered! :)

Why would she do this, you may ask? Well, you'll just have to listen, won't you! ;)

#30 –Brieanne Van De Graaff - ASL Interpreter & Superstar!

Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Podcast Episode 30!

My good friend Brianne is a fellow appreciator and advocate for the Deaf Community, just like me! We met through a mutual friend (at a Senegence party) and we have been connected ever since. We also found out through conversations that she went to the same ward as my niece who is Deaf and taught her occasionally in Primary. :)

She lives in Maryland and has been a mom of two recently-adopted three-nagers for almost three months now. Her hobbies include napping when her kids nap, avoiding laundry, and taking long walks to the fridge. She enjoys sleeping past 6:30am, netflix-binging (anything but Cocomelon), and eating goldfish crackers she finds between the couch cushions.

Kidding. Kind of.

She is a (very new) mom of twins. She's still figuring out how to be a mom (and a human) and she's loving the journey. She is a survivor of sexual abuse and she's passionate about supporting and advocating for other survivors. She works from home as an ASL Interpreter and she's a student at Johns Hopkins University in their Autism Studies Master's program. She's not sure who or what she wants to be when she grows up--being a rookie mom has upended her priorities in the best of ways-- but every day she grows and learn alongside her kids, and she's confident she'll be led in the right direction-- the same way she was led to them.

#29 –Brittany Brown - Has an AMAZING list!

Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Episode 29!

My friend Brittany is busy, and a total rockstar. She runs an accounting firm, LedgerGurus, consisting of 56 employees (mostly women) across the country, and pulls in several million in revenue every year.

More than that, she's a mother of five kids!

She prides herself on using both sides of her brain as artist and accountant both. She has survived high highs and low lows in her life and lived to tell about it. She believes that authenticity and periodic acts of courage are responsible for all her life success. When she’s not leading her company she is hiding in her car with a Dr Pepper or harassing her kids to clean something.

Join us for a fantastic conversation all about accountability partners, how to raise kids, and Dr. Pepper.

#28 –A Conversation with Michele Caputo Sauk

Banker, Business Owner, and Mom!

Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Podcast Episode 28!

My friend Michelle is a powerhouse of a human being. She works in commercial banking, owns three different Beans & Brews franchises, and owns a 12,000 square foot gymnastics center in Lehi, UT.

We've been good friends for about 12 years. We met at a networking event where we upset the expectations of all the men in the group.

This conversation is fun and Michelle gives a lot of sound advice on taxes, wages, and how age is really just a level, (i.e. I'm not 47 years old, I'm a Level 47). :)

#25 –Lindsey "Freaking" Ellers! - A Doctor of Chinese Medicine

OH MY CRAP! We're at the half-century mark! It's like, my podcast can rent a car now! (They grow up so fast...)

Lindsey "Freaking" Ellers is chasing down her Doctorate in Chinese Medicine. She has SO much to share about how different parts of the body are effected by different emotions.

For instance, did you know that laughter is the sound of the heart? Or that the spleen is effected by stress? How about that fear preys upon the kidneys?

Neither did I. :)

Join me for an engaging and fantastic conversation with one of the smartest people I've ever met!

#24 –Eliza Nelson LeBeau - "I hate my ex-husband, but I'm thankful for him..."

Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Podcast Episode 24!

I'm baaaaack! :)

I hope y'all had a fantastic Labor Day weekend last week! Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Podcast episode 25!

My friend Eliza is a survivor of the most admirable kind. She's the sort of person we can all learn from.

Her ex-husband was poopy. Notice my usage of past-tense: was. Yeah, he's no longer with us. I'm not one to usually speak ill of the dead, but when you hear Eliza's story about her life with him, I think you'll agree that when she says she hates him, that is actually a healthy place to be.

Stick with me here listener, because, as you know, I like to get real, and it doesn't get more real than this conversation.

Eliza reminds us that, even in the face of awful consequences, we still have the freedom of choice; we still have #FreeAgency. We are still empowered to choose how we respond to a situation. Are we going to be the victim, or are we going to work to rise above?

Eliza also teaches us about The Moth Principle, and the actual definition of parenting. (Spoiler, it isn't what you think!)

#23 –Nathaniel Greene - The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree...

Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Podcast Episode 23!

Nathaniel Greene is a wonderful person. Heck, I should know, I MADE HIM! :)

He's technically an adult now, and I'm not okay with this, but I'm learning to cope. I wanted to start including him in these sorts of endeavors, as he has a desire to go into media and film. Podcasting is close enough. ;)

I hope you enjoy this frank and fun mother/son discussion. Help me adjust as I slowly come to terms with the fact that my son is now a man, and will be leaving the nest soon on his mission.

Oh! Also, he has issued a challenge that you absolutely MUST hear about. Listen in for the deets!
