#56 –Susan Layton - Advocate for The Deaf Community

Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Podcast Episode 56!
As many of you know, in my youth I served a religious mission for my faith, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was a mission served in deaf and hard-of-hearing communities, and the people I interacted with were members of the deaf community. The experience had a profound effect on my life, and I became a fast ally and advocate for the Deaf Community.
Susan Layton is also an advocate for the deaf community; indeed, she runs Access Simplified, a company that works with organizations to help them become more accessible to the Deaf Community, which allows the organizations she works with to become more inclusive and increase their engagement with the Deaf Community.
She also has four kids and is from the Las Vegas area, though she now lives in Utah. She's been married to her husband for 22 years. She loves the mountains, snorkeling, and, if caught daydreaming, rest assured she's thinking about the North Shore of Oahu Island, again. :)
