#30 –Brieanne Van De Graaff - ASL Interpreter & Superstar!
Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Podcast Episode 30!
My good friend Brianne is a fellow appreciator and advocate for the Deaf Community, just like me! We met through a mutual friend (at a Senegence party) and we have been connected ever since. We also found out through conversations that she went to the same ward as my niece who is Deaf and taught her occasionally in Primary. :)
She lives in Maryland and has been a mom of two recently-adopted three-nagers for almost three months now. Her hobbies include napping when her kids nap, avoiding laundry, and taking long walks to the fridge. She enjoys sleeping past 6:30am, netflix-binging (anything but Cocomelon), and eating goldfish crackers she finds between the couch cushions.
Kidding. Kind of.
She is a (very new) mom of twins. She's still figuring out how to be a mom (and a human) and she's loving the journey. She is a survivor of sexual abuse and she's passionate about supporting and advocating for other survivors. She works from home as an ASL Interpreter and she's a student at Johns Hopkins University in their Autism Studies Master's program. She's not sure who or what she wants to be when she grows up--being a rookie mom has upended her priorities in the best of ways-- but every day she grows and learn alongside her kids, and she's confident she'll be led in the right direction-- the same way she was led to them.
